How to measure a True Door?
A True Doors ® tutorial
Step-by-step instructions
[00:00:00] Measure the length of the door on the left and on the right and note the longest measure. Measure the width of the door at the top and the bottom and also take the widest size. For a multi door project, we recommend measuring all doors [00:00:20] individually. Even if the doors look the same, It's usually the case that there's still a little bit of difference of even one to one and a half centimeters.
[00:00:28] This is because doors are often adjusted by a carpenter during the hanging process if they appear too tight. In a project with many doors that are the same, you can measure a part [00:00:40] of the doors and if you share those dimensions with us, you should share the dimensions of the largest doors so that you're assured that the true doors will fit on all doors.
[00:00:49] Any extra edges can be trimmed away during application. If the difference between the sizes of the doors is more than two centimeters or one inch, we advise that you [00:01:00] send us the dimensions per door. Otherwise, you may need to trim away too much of an image to fit it onto a smaller, narrower door.
